Why the temple of Bantey Srei is attractive and popular to visitors? There more factors that attract the tourists to visit there because the visitors can see the view rice field daily living of villagers on the road and can buy some souvenirs for the friend and family. These factors have made the temple extremely popular with tourists, and have led to its being widely praised as a "precious gem", or the "jewel of Khmer art."
Banteay Srei Temple (Bantey= Camp, and Srei=Woman) is officially part of the Angkor complex, Banteay Srei temple lies 25 km (15 miles) north-east of the main group of temples, and therefore often considered a separate Cambodia attraction. Banteay Srei Temple is the only major temple at Angkor not built for a king; instead it was constructed by one of king Rajendravarman’s counselors, Yajnyavahara. The temple was completed to build in 967 AD and is built largely of red sandstone, a medium that lends itself to the elaborate decorative wall carvings which are still clearly visible today.
Only this temple is attracted so much to the visitor both local and international. Nowadays it is bit difficult walking from the park station to the temple. The best time for visit this place is early morning or evening. The tourist can travel by the group of tour or can take tuk tuk or ride the bicycle (if we prefer to stay there and to learn from the villagers around there place)
